I live in Upstate NY and have been on the search for months to find this beer. My mom used to drink it years and years ago and I’m looking for it for a surprise Christmas present. I know it exists and I have seen it advertised on many restaurant websites. I have contacted them also. Does anyone know of a brewing company that sells this beer? (Please don’t say “google it” or “use a search engine” because I have done that and it has gotten me no where. If you don’t know, don’t answer!)
Old Vienna is a brand of beer bottled by City Brewing, and later, Koch Beverage Company, beginning in the 1806’s in Wapakoneta, Ohio. City Brewing was owned by Karl Kolter and his son Charles, who immigrated from Wallhalben, Germany, to Ohio in the mid-1800s. The business was later handed down to Henry Koch, Charles’ son-in-law.
In Canada, Old Vienna beer was brewed by Carling O’Keefe, and later Molson Breweries. It is still being sold. This beer is celebrated annually at the Stoney Point Independence Day Parade. The festivities have been held in honour of Michael Anderson , OV’s top supporter over the past 4 decades. OV is currently produced in true “Premium” quality, in bottles, cans and on draft with a 5% alc./vol. content.

Old Vienna Beer
I have the same problems for years. I am from Syracuse and grew up on the 6!/2 Oz bottles, Molson owns them now out of Candida but still cat find them. So I went to a liquor store here in Seattle WA and bought 5 cases of Genesee… Good luck hunting let me know if you can find them, they are a great beer.

I am on the quest for OV Splits!! Living in Buffalo, NY we grew up with splits and I would love to purchase a few CS for a family party . Recently I was at a party and someone had come with a CS of Corona Splits which reminded me of the days of OV Splits. From my research I have found OV is now produced in Canada, I am going to call the brewery which makes OV and see if they still produced splits. If I find them I will let everyone know. Remember the days of going into a bar an ordering a CS of OV Splits for your table and the bartender would take the CS layer it with Ice and bring the CS to your table. !!!!!
