Due to his age (17), his name was never released, but he was charged with manslaughter.
He was sentenced to 300 hours community service and 1 year probation. His name may be Troy Pierson, but that’s just forum talk. Probation is unfortunately enough, a common sentence for vehicular manslaughter, for adults too.

I feel bad for the kid, he was doing the same thing that Sam would do all the time, and should not be looked at like a worthless dummy that didn’t get the right punnishment. If we all reaped what we sew, than all of us would be more carefull. I hope he has a good life.

I think the kid should have gotten at least 10 years. If he is old enough to drive AND drink like an adult, he is old enough to be sentenced like one. He took someone s life! It s too bad.
