Why does gamestop have no trade value for Destiny the Taken King Legendary Edition?

It wont play on my PS4 so i want to trade itin but gamestop has no value for it. Why?

Destiny, as a subscription based MMO, has virtually no resale value in the secondary markets because of the subscription fee. All the disc contains is just the game code to eliminate the need for you to download the game from the online stores.
Additionally, any DLC / codes that were included with the retail copies were one time, consumable codes… which have no resale value (as you cannot reuse them, because they’re bound to your account). Therefore, there’s practically NO DEMAND for it & no reason why GameStop is willing to buyback those discs.
If the game had some offline components that can be enjoyed, then there could be some interest in the secondary markets… but no offline content equates to no secondary / retail value (as it’s “service only”).

Destiny The Taken King Legendary Edition consists of a disc with the basic game, Destiny, on it, and a series of codes to unlock all the add-ons up to The Taken King.
These codes can only be used once, so a “used” copy of this is equivalent to a used copy of just Destiny.
That’s why there are no used copies of Destiny the Taken King.

Destiny: The Taken King is treated like a copy of Destiny, since that’s all the disc is. And Destiny is basically worthless at this point.
Not having a trade-in value usually means that they have a ton of copies of the game sitting around unsold, so they’re not accepting it any more. They won’t take the PS4 or 360 versions of Destiny at all, the PS3 version is worth 28 cents, and the most “valuable” one is the Xbox One version that’s a whole $2 in trade-in credit.
They used to get crap for only offering a few pennies for some games, so they decided to just set a minimum value that they’ll offer and after that they won’t take in the game at all.

It does. It’s called destiny. I might be wrong since I don’t have the game but I think I recall reading somewhere that the legendary edition includes the disk for destiny and the codes for the dark below, house of wolves, and the taken king. Aren’t the codes 1 time use only so if you used the codes then the next person can’t use it. GameStop would have a nightmare if granny buys the game for her grandson thinking that he’s getting the game + 3 expansions but all he’s getting is just the base game.
