What does titched mean?

My Irish family will use “titched in the head” when talking about someone.

It’s a countrified way of saying “touched.” It was once thought that mental illness was an indicator that one had been touched by God–that person and those around him or her being tested especially.

never heard it before but crazy, confused, nuts, loco.
