Does the phrase “wash away my colors” have any actual meaning? It is part of a song, My Demons by Starset.?

I would say it means “wash away my identity”, so the colors would be apart of who he is, and I believe I’ve seen this metaphor before where humans are very complex, and so we use colors to describe that, and say that people are made up of many shades (of color), and so colors are equal to being who someone is.
