Can someone explain to me what does this quote mean “A clean tie will attract the soup of the day “?

or at lest who is it by

It’s about the same as Murphy’s Law…ie Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. In other words, the odds of you splashing tomato soup on your clean shirt and tie are way better than if you were wearing nasty clothes you didn’t care about. I suspect my husband wrote it because he lives it nearly everyday.

It’s irony. The only similar idea I can think of right off the top of my head is that Alanis Morissette song, “Ironic”. “A traffic jam when you’re already late. A no smoking sign on your cigarette break. It’s like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife. It’s like meeting the man of my dreams and then meeting his beautiful wife.” Basically, sometimes no matter what it is, the universe will make sure to ruin it!

If you drink soup wearing a tie, the soup will stain it.

It means that if you are clean and tidy then something will happen to dirty you up.

Answer 7
