Well i live 2 1/2 hours away from syracuse but I was just wondering, where the closest ocean beach is? i really wanted to go to maine, but thats not very close. i would prefer a beach with tide pools maybe? but just any ocean beach closest to syracuse ny

You did not exactly say where you live & are located?
We’re in Virginia and our family has been to Maine, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Carolinas and Florida. Last summer we vacationed in Canada in Toronto and Niagara Falls. I would recommend you strongly considering the beaches on the Great Lakes because for example in downtown Toronto they have ferries taking people to Toronto Islands and near Niagara Falls, would you believe that it is in close proximately to 3 of the Great Lakes and the “ice wine” there is terrific.
Hope the Above Info Helps!

The City of Syracuse is basically not surrounded by water like areas here in NYC (Coney Island and Brighton Beach located in Brooklyn) It is basically a city area with no area in which you can drive to a beach area.
