what does “congratulations are in order” mean?

i got my report card, and i got an A in science. and below it had a comment saying, “congratulations are in order” what does that mean?

It means that you’ve done very well & therefore it would be appropriate to congratulate you.
So here goes : CONGRATULATIONS on your A in Science !

Define Congratulations

It means that it’s appropriate to offer you congratulations.

It means you deserve to be congratulated. It was a very positive thing for your teacher (or principal) to say. It means very few people do this well in this subject, and you can be proud that you did.

That is good news. Basically ‘congratulations’ but in order maybe means, if you were going to give people an order, you will tell them to congratulate you. Hmmm, does that make sense.

Answer 6

it basically means the same thing as congratulations (more precisely, it meas that congratulations are necessary or something of the like)

Answer 7

It means that someone may give you a compliment on achieving a goal, or getting married, getting a promotion, anything that a person has accomplished.

What are people saying? It actually means they’ve ordered special congratulations (small awards basically), for you. You should recieve them in 4-5 business days.
