Is there an actual Psalm 129 that reads “Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.”?

You’ve all probably heard the joke before, but is there an actual verse in the Bible that says it. If not are there any phrases similar to it? (Especially those that give direction).

Luke 14:10
“Friend, go up higher, then shalt thou have glory”

It’s not the whole verse but then (the fake) Psalm 129 would hardly be one line long either.

here is NO such text in Psalm 129 like “Go forth and seek;
further up, you will find glory.” There is not in the entire Psalm, nor in the entire Bible.

No.
The actual scripture is Luke 14:10 – “But when you are invited, go and recline at the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, Friend, move up higher ; then you will have honor in the sight of all who are at the table with you.

When it comes to the Bible, people are dumb!

The Psalm 129 in my Scriptures does not have a verse like that, nor have I found any phrases at all similar to it.

Answer 7

As in the joke I myself wouldn’t be looking at a bible quote to find glory , because I know where it is .

How about:”For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be oƿє-ṅєd.” ?

Matthew 7:8 and Luke 11:10
