Is it ok to have expired cough/throat drops?

I have some cough drops that expired in 7/2008 and others that dont have an expiration date but I got them in 2/2007, is it ok to have these, I dont have any other ones in the house and my throat is hurting

it might not be as effective. I’ve already taken stuff that was expired and nothing happened to me.

You won’t get sick from it the might be a little less effective but studies have shown that medications can last up to 10 years after there expiration date and still have the same effectiveness.

Try them and see what happens if you start growing antlers discontinue use lol.

There is a difference between having faith and being unwise. For instance, I wouldn’t go lay myself on a train track and play that God will save me, that’s just stupid. So dropping heath insurance wouldn’t be trusting God it would be unwise I really hope this helps answer your question!! ^u^

Expired medicine causes no harm but it has lost it’s potential
Do gargling with warm salted water.
Chew pepper and salt

yeah dude im not going to be rude like the other guy but i don’t think you should have any more if you have had some already i don’t think it will have that big an affect on you if you had one or two there quite small but you should stop and throw them away if you start feeling nausea then go to the doctors. take care ^.^

You shouldn’t eat food past it’s use-by date, cough drops are no different. Go buy new ones.

they just tend to get less effective but they wont hurt you. It isn’t a good practice to keep outdated meds around though.
