I think I finally found a question that Google can’t answer, as I searched for this multiple ways and found absolutely nothing relevant. I have a box of six month old Pop Tarts on the counter, and I really want one. I can’t find an expiration date on the box, or any of the packages. They taste okay. Am I going to get food poisoning? XD How long do sealed Pop Tarts last?
Until the end of time. Six months is fresh in the world of Pop Tarts. They are preservatives with fruit flavor.
A box of pop tarts last 2 hours in my house so i never have this problem

Poptarts come in some emergency ration meals/MRE’s. I have a box of MRES with poptarts in each meal with no dates on them.

well the thing is….it’s all sugar.
and sugar really does last a very long time haha! i guess that’s why there isn’t an expiry date on there.
things like that will last unopened for a year to a few years, that’s why they’re in the dry shelf section and not refrigerated section.
i mean a LONG time will be bad, but i’m sure the store buys them bulk and sells them for the next few years, i wouldn’t be surprised lol.
IN CONCLUSION…you’ll be fine. enjoy them, and think of me in australia not being able to buy any anymore, bastards

i really wish i knew this.
one of the biggest problems in my life is discovering whether or not the **** i eat (or try to eat) is stale

they don’t expire they just get stale and loose flavor
and kinda hard but that’s it because i had pop tarts if my pantry from about 7 or 9 months ago and i ate it with milk and i was just fine
Haha, no, you will not get food poisoning! They might taste a little stale, but all you have to do for that is to put them in the microwave for a few seconds. I swear, anything stale tastes so much better after microwaving it or warming it up in the oven. So, don’t worry, and just enjoy your Pop-Tarts. :))
