Here is an evolution journey of MacBook from PowerBook to MacBook.

•PowerBook 100

First introduced in 1991, the PowerBook 100 is a book-sized laptop, which was designed by Apple by Sony. This was designed with a trackball in the center. The PowerBook 100, had was a descendant of the coming generation of laptops.

•PowerBook 500

First introduced in 1994, the PowerBook 500 is a book-sized laptop, with a black and white and coloured display. This was designed with a trackpad in the center instead of a trackball. It also included stereo speakers, dual battery bays, built-in Ethernet, and was capable of mounting floppy disks of 3.5″.

•PowerBook G3

First introduced in 1997, the PowerBook G3 had a wider display of 14″. With a built-in video input, CD drive along with DVD drive, floppy disk, and dual expansion bays. It was one of the most customizable laptops from Apple at the time.

iBook

First released in 1999, this iBook was designed with a polycarbonate shell; it had handles to carry it efficiently, a hard disk, and a built-in CD-ROM. The trackpad supported single-tapping and double-tapping.

The MacBook Pro M1 was introduced in 2020, and another version with a 16-inch display was introduced in 2021. MacBook Air M1, also introduced in 2020, had an 18-hour video playback capacity.

MacBook Pro M2 and MacBook Air M2

The MacBook Pro M2 with a 13″ display was introduced in 2022 with a cooling system and a better FaceTime camera. The MacBook Pro M2 Max was released in 2023 with an 8K display and 22 hours of battery life. The MacBook Air M2 was released with an M2 chip and a fuller screen.
