stevesimon006 is right but for “I currently am…” It comes before a present tense verb (a word that ends with -ing (doing, having, running e.c.t.))

If you want to emphasise “currently” you could say -“Currently I am unemployed.”
“I currently am …” sounds clumsy to my ears.
“I am currently..” sounds good.
“I am currently unemployed.”
