hi
Drug testing in the workplace was legalized on September 15, 1986 when Executive Order 12564 was signed by President Ronald Reagan. This order made it a condition of employment that all Federal employees were to refrain from using illegal drugs, even while they were off-duty. This order was the basis for the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, which originally only applied to Federal employees but then was used by the states, local jurisdictions and private-sector employees to implement drug testing in the workplace. Before you take a drug test you will first need to know what the drug test is
looking for and what type of timeline you are looking at for being detected depending on what type of drug you have used.
It is important to understand that what is being tested for varies greatly
depending on who is performing the test, the cost of the test, the expectations and federal requirements. Some businesses may also have their own personal drug testing rules as well. ( for example : Federal government guidelines require that those who hold a commercial driver’s license and work for a business where they will be driving a commercial vehicle have a drug testing system in place. If you are in the professional driving profession, you will need to pay special attention to the type of testing that your company requires. )The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) requires that companies test for five specific categories of drugs. Most drug testing companies will provide a test that checks for all five categories. These five categories include:

· Cocaine – Includes Cocaine, Crack and Benzoylecognine
· Cannabinoids – Includes Marijuana and Hash
· Amphetamines – Includes Speed, Methamphetamines and amphetamines
· Opiates – Includes Heroin, Opium, Codeine and Morphine
· Phencyclidine – PCP

Depending on what profession you are in or what business or governmental department you are required to take a drug test for, there may be expansion tests required. These test for additional drugs such as:

· Barbiturates – Including Phenobarbital, Scorbarbitol and Butalbital
· Hydrocodone – Including Vicodin and Lortab
· Mehqualone – Known most commonly as Quaaludes or Ludes
· Benzodiazepines – Includes Valium, Xanax, Librium, Serax and Rohypnol
· Methadone
· Propoxyphene – Includes Darvon compounds
· Ethanol – Known as Alcohol
· MDMA or Ecstasy

Drugs that can be tested for, but are not commonly tested for include:

· LSD
· Tryptamines – Including Psilocybin, AMT, DMT, DPT, 5-MeO-DiPT
· Phenethylamines – Including Mescaline, MDMA, MDA, MDE, 2C-B, 2C-T-7
· Inhalants – Including Toluene, Xylene and Benzene

They may sell synthetic urine at some shady shops, but do you REALLY want to take a chance on it getting picked up (detected) by the GCMS? If you want a fool-proof method of passing a drug screen, then my suggestion is that you only use the drugs that are legally prescribed by your health care provider. This pretty much rules out any “recreational” drugs (other than chocolate and coffee — yes, coffee contains caffeine which technically is a drug).

Urine Drug Test:6405N SAP 5-50 GC/MS, from quest diagnostics. What does it look for?

Drug testing is an important part of maintaining a healthy workplace, and one method of drug testing is through urine sampling. Urine drug testing can detect a wide variety of drugs and substances, including narcotics, amphetamines, barbiturates, and cannabis. In this article, we’ll be focusing on the Quest 6405N SAP 5-50 GC/MS, which is a popular drug test kit used by many employers and law enforcement agencies. We’ll discuss what it looks for and some of the common mistakes that people make when taking urine drug tests.

What is the Urine Drug Test 6405N SAP 5-50 GC/MS?

Quest Diagnostics offers a Urine Drug Test 6405N SAP 5-50 GC/MS which is used to test for drug use. This test is specific for the detection of amphetamines, benzodiazepines, cocaine, cannabis, methamphetamine, and opiates.

This test uses gas chromatography/mass spectrometry to analyze the sample. It can identify the presence of these drugs in the urine sample.

This test is generally used to screen for drug use. It can also be used to detect the presence of these drugs after they have been used. This test is useful for detecting drug use in people who are suspected of using drugs. It can also be used to help diagnose drug addiction.

What does the test detect?

The urine drug test (UDT) is a common tool used by law enforcement to screen for drug use. Quest Diagnostics offers a GC/MS urine test that can detect various drugs and metabolites in the urine.

The GC/MS urine test is able to detect drugs and metabolites such as cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and THC. It is also able to detect other drugs that have been excreted in the urine, such as opiates and amphetamines.

The GC/MS urine test is especially effective at detecting recent drug use. This is because it can detect drugs and metabolites in the urine even after they have been cleared from the system. This makes the UDT a valuable tool for law enforcement officials who are looking for evidence of recent drug use.

How is the test performed?

The urine drug test (UDT) is a common law enforcement tool used to screen for drugs. Quest Diagnostics offers a GC/MS UDT test as well as a traditional blood draw. The GC/MS UDT test is performed by taking a sample of urine and sending it to a laboratory for analysis.

The GC/MS UDT test looks for drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and heroin. It also tests for other narcotics, such as methamphetamines and MDMA (ecstasy). The traditional blood draw is used to determine whether the person has previously used drugs. This test also looks for drugs, but it also measures other substances such as caffeine and alcohol.

What should you do if you are testing positive?

If you are testing positive for a urine drug test using GC/MS, the first thing you should do is contact Quest Diagnostics. Quest will help you to determine what drugs may have been used and provide instructions on how to get tested again to confirm the accuracy of the test.

GC/MS tests use an ion column to separate metabolites from urine and can detect a variety of drugs and toxins. Some of the drugs that GC/MS can detect include opioids, cocaine, marijuana, and amphetamines. Depending on the substance, GC/MS can also produce different results. For example, cannabis metabolites show up as a yellow color on GC/MS tests while cocaine shows up as black.

What should you do if you are testing negative?

If you are testing negative for urine drugs using a GC/MS, you can be confident that you have not taken any illicit drugs. However, if you do test positive for urine drugs using a GC/MS, there are several things that you can do to help improve your chances of getting a fair adjudication.

The most important thing that you can do is to cooperate fully with the drug testing process. This means answering all of the questions that the drug testing company asks and providing any relevant documentation. You should also avoid making any false statements. If you have any questions about the drug test or the process in general, please contact Quest Diagnostics customer service at 1-800-QUESTCDIAG (1-800-quest-diagnostics). They will be happy to help you out.
