which is correct, email trail or email thread?

People Reviews

Both, depending on what it is in reference to!

Email Thread Definition

Not to defend Microsoft by any means but….In Outlook, when an email bounces back and forth between two people several times, each one is a separate record in my IN or SENT box. With Yahoo, only the latest copy is there, and all previous copies are embedded in it. Inside that record, the sequence is very difficult to understand (top to bottom, some hidden), and I’m not sure what happens when I get multiple REPLY TO ALL responses from various members of the same conversation. Why is this so messed up compared with OUTLOOK?

EMAIL TRAILS means just the two (2) of the party involved communication… EMAIL THREAD means if everybody is interacting on the same issue sending their responses on a various EMAIL IDs.
