now we observe commonality in both parts ; in number series we find each numbers are followed by 3 and in alphabetical sequence in alphabets are linked with 3 steps , like D to G is followed by 3 next alphabet which is G , followed by G to J by next 3 alphabet J .

Thus 4 + 3 = 7 ,

7+3 = 10 ,

10 + 3 = 13 ,

so 13 +3 = 16
