What is the difference between a Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)?

Which degree requires more education (or) is higher qualified to work on animals?

Most schools award the DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), but the degree awarded by the University of Pennsylvania is a VMD (Veterinary Medical Doctor).
This person will be called “Dr.” but will put VMD past his/her name. They have the same level of education, knowledge and experience.

DVM This degree stands for doctor of veterinary medicine. People with DVM degrees have graduated from US veterinary schools and earned a doctorate, which is required to practice veerinary medicine. Most veterinarians in the US are DVMs. VMD This is a doctoral degree just like the DVM, but it comes from the University of Pennsylvania. The university calls its degree a veterinary medical doctorate and abbreviates it as such.

I think VMD works with animals, while DVM works with animal cells and diseases… Or might be the opposite.

So you know what a VMD and a DVM are how about this one? Do you know what DMV is?
