He told me to call the police and then he went back downstairs. I could hear him talking to the man, but I couldn’t understand what they were saying. Then I heard a gunshot. My husband came back upstairs and told me that the man had been shot and killed.

What happened to you?

It’s been a long time since I updated this blog. A lot has happened in that time, and I’m finally ready to talk about it.

First, some background: in early 2016, I was in a relationship with a woman who was emotionally abusive. It was a toxic situation that took a toll on my mental health, and I eventually decided to end things. Unfortunately, the break-up wasn’t clean; she stalked and harassed me for months afterward. It was an incredibly difficult time, made worse by the fact that I didn’t have any close friends or family to turn to for support.

In the midst of all this, I also lost my job. It wasn’t related to the breakup, but it added to the stress and uncertainty I was feeling. I was struggling to make ends meet and keep my head above water.

Thankfully, things slowly started to improve. I found a new job and started rebuilding my life. The stalking and harassment stopped, and I began to heal from the emotional damage that had been done. It’s been a long road, but I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.

I’m sharing all this because I know there are others out there who are going through similar experiences. If you’re in a bad relationship or struggling with your mental health, please reach out for help. There are people who care about you and want to see you succeed. You’re not alone.
