Membranes are thin layers of
epithelial tissue usually bound to an underlying layer of
connective tissue. Membranes cover, protect, or separate other
structures or tissues in the body.
Mucous membrane (in given
picture it will match with the option 2 and 4, represented in red
color arrow): membrane lining body cavities and
canals that lead to the outside, mainly the
respiratory, digestive, and urogenital tracts.
Mucous membranes line many tracts and structures of the body,
including the mouth, nose, eyelids, trachea (windpipe) and lungs,
stomach and intestines, and the ureters, urethra, and urinary
bladder. Mucous are the primary barrier between the external world
and the interior of the body.

Serous membrane (in given
picture it will match with the option 1 and 5, represented in
purple color arrow): is an epithelial membrane composed of
mesodermally derived epithelium called the mesothelium that is
supported by connective tissue. These membranes line
cavities that do not open to the outside, and they cover
the organs located within those cavities. Serous membranes have two
layers: an outer layer that lines the body cavity call
parietal and an inner layer that covers internal organs called
visceral. Serous fluid secreted by the cells
lubricates the membrane and reduces abrasion and friction between
the two layers. Serous membranes are identified according
locations. Three serous membranes line the thoracic cavity; the
two pleura that cover the lungs and the pericardium that
covers the heart. A fourth, the peritoneum, is the serous
membrane in the abdominal cavity that covers abdominal organs and
forms double sheets of mesenteries that suspend many of the
digestive organs.
Endothelium (in given
picture it will match with the option 6, represented in yellow
color arrow): is a single layer of squamous endothelial
cells that line the interior surface of blood vessels, and
lymphatic vessels. Endothelial cells in direct contact with blood
are called vascular endothelial cells whereas those in direct
contact with lymph are known as lymphatic endothelial
cells. Vascular endothelial cells line the entire
circulatory system, from the heart to the smallest
capillaries.
Cutaneous membrane (in given
picture it will match with the option 3, represented in blue color
arrow): The skin is cutaneous membrane.
Skin consists of a layer of stratified squamous epithelium
(epidermis) firmly attached to a thick layer of dense connective
tissue (dermis). The apical surface of this membrane is exposed to
the external environment and is covered with dead,
keratinized cells that help protect the body from
desiccation and pathogens.
