Mccormick stopped making their Onion Juice, what is a good substitute?

They discontinued the Onion Juice a while back ago and an old recipe requires it. I know there are other brands out there but I’m trying to find the closest match to the Mccormick brand.

I’ve never used the product but is there a reason that grating an onion and draining the juice wouldn’t work?

Mccormick Onion Powder

tomato juice rocks. add some veggies and put it in the crock pot all day and you’ve got yourself a great vegetable soup. yum.

Tomato juice is very good for you. However, if it hurts your stomach, this could be a problem you need to tell her about. Try adding water to it or even a pinch of baking soda. This can help lessen the acidic property in it, which may be causing distress in your stomach.

Fruit and Vegetables both are too Important for our body and the two are tasty so I like both.. and both are packed with VitaminsA, E, B, C and.. minerals.. and packed with energy with protein

I saw some juice or extract at the store a week or so ago. It is probably a different brand but there is still something out there.

Wow! McCormick stopped making that product in 2005. Probably no chance of finding it in stock anyplace without it being expired…
There is no way to get the same flavour power from using onion powder or reconstituted dried onion flakes. Onion juice is/was mainly used to baste meat with prior to roasting and to flavour gravies. You could always try juicing your own onions in a juicer machine, but why not just buy another brand? Onion juice is for sale right now on Amazon, made by MANNA, HOWARDS, and the REESE companies (which is UK based)… There may be more out there too, so don’t limit your options. McCormick isn’t the only spice company in the world, and there’s more than one way to skin a proverbial cat! Reese makes positively KILLER pickled onions in a jar, so I would go with that one as first choice.
Onion juice is also sold in most heath food stores, as it supposedly makes a great tonic for the immune and digestive systems. I know for a fact onions and garlic lower cholesterol. I would also try other places than grocery stores, like Whole Foods Markets, Chamberlains, and World Market Stores which carry Reese products from UK. The bottom link below is their website, which has a Store Locator page by zipcode.
