I’ve heard Massachusetts Indemnity and Life Insurance Company (MILICO) is now Primerica?

Will Primerica honor a policy that my father had with MILICO? I would assume yes since it was a company merge. Has anyone filied a MILICO claim with Primerica? Help, please.

Only if your dad has been paying for the policy. I think majority of MILICO policies are 20 year term policies. Its possible that your dad could of renew the policy every year. Life insurance companies will only pay if the policy hasn’t lapsed or expired. If you want to find out if you can file a claim, you should call Primerica Life Insurance at 1-800-257-4725.

You might check with Universal American in Lake Mary Fl, I wrote for Mass Indem and Penn Life Ins back in started in 1981, old Mass Indem policies written from aprx 1983 and before were rolled into Penn Life and then Mass Indem as a company was sold to Art Williams thus Primerica,so could depend when and what type of policy .

Primerica has tons of subsidiary companies.
That merger was back in 1980, though, so it’s ancient history.
As long as the policy was active at the time of death, it’s valid. But dad should have been getting statements and paying the premiums under the Primerica name, since that merger was, what, 31 years ago.

I had a life insurance policy with MILICO many years ago for my wife. My wife passed away 3 years ago and I believe I should have some money coming to me but don t know who to contact

If the policy is in force then whatever company is providing the service for the policy would handle the claim as well.
