I agree with this representation because the sea has traditionally been used in literature as an allegory of human existence. First of all, it is huge and mysterious, full of dangers, and yet beautiful in its cruelty. The seafarer, just like any human being, cannot but delve into the enormous sea, that is life; still, he can’t but wonder what is going to happen to him. Also, the sea/life is a blessing and a curse at the same time. It is wonderful to have the privilege, and yet it is a source of human suffering.

The interpretation, to me, is very accurate. The oceans overs up about 75% of the earth. It is huge, deep, dangerous, unknown, and yet its beauty shadows over it. Its very common for people to have the same emotions like the protagonist had while he was on sea. There are times where people are excited to try something they haven’t done before. Sometimes people would trying something but would worry because it might turn into a disaster. They Seafarer, like other people, can helped but wonder what might happen to him when he goes it the sea.

I do not think people fear human existence like the man fears the sea. Yes some people are fascinated by human existence, but I know no one who fears it. A better example of this are snakes. Most people are fascinated by these things but fear them if they are near.

The opinion is legitimate because people often want to be a part of the society and to be accepted, but are also terrified that bad things like rejection might happen to them. It is debatable whether the original poet thought about it, but it can nevertheless be applied here.
