How are the themes of “the colored soldiers” and “war is kind” similar?

War is kind is definitely all about a war. The title is an irony what really a war is. The real thing is that war is very unkind and is happening always because there people who send soldiers to wars not thinking about their deaths. On the other hand, The Colored soldiers is a poem to praise black men who served the Army during the civil war. These soldiers fight for freedom from slavery even though they know the risks of their actions and that it may cause them harm.

By ending the poem wiht “For their blood has cleansed completely Every blot of Slavery’s shame.” The author states that there can be positive outcomes to war, while on war is kind the certainity of injustice is clear.
