a) Delta H = -18 kJ and Delta S = -60 j/k
delta G > 0 non spontaneous
delta G < 0 spontaneous
delta G = delta H - T(temp K)x delta S
you can plug in those values and make up some temperature and see if delta G is postive or negative.
low temp can be values of 1 and high temps could be 100
therefore:
a) spontaneous at low temperatures
b) spontaneous at high temperatures
c) nonspontaneous at all temperatures
d) spontaneous at all temperatures
for getting spontonous process delta G must be -Ve
and delta G=delta H-tdelta S
for this deltaH should be negative and delta S should be posative so answer is opetion (d)
