About how often will my color be called for probation drug testing?

I’ve been on probation for six months now, half of my probation sentence for a dui, and I’m just wondering how often my color will be called for random screening, and how to go about getting my probation mitigated.

You broke the law (DUI) and violated the terms of your probation (Cough syrup) and you think you have a chance of getting the remaining six months mitigated?

Take the time to serve the probation and learn from it. Nobody ever thinks their time spent in circumstances such as this is worth it and presents a hardship case but the fact is…you did the crime and you now have to do the time.

It’s not easy but has to be done. Sorry.

God how I hate intolerant a**holes who think that they are perfect. I spent 5 years on probation for stealing to provide for my kids. And YES I had two jobs AND I was going to college at the same time. So to the person who thinks “you do the crime” bullsh**. Seriously get a life. Mommy and Daddy must have supported your a** or you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth. NOT all of us have it so lucky. NOT all of us are perfect and make mistakes. If you can’t be sympathetic then just F*ck off and keep your opinions to yourself! Save it for the murderers, ʀᴀᴘιsтs, and child abusers.

To the person asking the question. Unfortunately, most of the time you are treated like sh*t because you made a mistake. However, you do not have to take it. Talk to her supervisor. Ask to be moved to another officer. I, luckily, got a great PO and the whole thing was pretty much a breeze. I only had to see them once a month. In my state, they even come to your house to do random checks. I’m not sure about how often they do it, but I just had to comment on the holier than thou a**hole. Some people just don’t understand how you are treated when something bad happens. Good luck and stay strong!

cough syrup is a common thing for people to use to mask the use of alcohol. its the oldest trick ever. thats why most places say that they don’t care how sick you are, or how much cough syrup you drank, a positive is a positive.

While it is impossible to predict how often drug testing will occur during the probationary period, it is usually called for at least once per quarter. If you have any questions about when drug testing might be required or what type of drugs may be tested for, contact your employment lawyer or human resources department.
